aLeaf Purifier®, also referred to as dab straw, is a vaporizing tool. It is mostly used to vaporize concentrates, such as wax, sugar, budder, diamond, sauce, and shatter, among others. This is alternately known as dab straw due to two reasons. One, it is used for dabbing. Two, it has a tube like structure that resembles and also functions like a straw.
Introduction to aLeaf Purifier®
People refer to it as aLeaf Purifier®, dab straw, dab rig, or the entire setup as a rig. All these essentially mean the same thing. aLeaf Purifiers are portable vaporizers. The more conventional dab rig is effectively transformed into a smaller and easier to operate aLeaf Purifier®. It has a pipe like shape, and hence serves as a handy straw. The convenience of using aLeaf Purifier® outdoors and carrying them around without much effort is at the crux of its growing popularity.
aLeaf Purifiers come in different shapes, sizes, designs, and colors. The mechanism remains similar, or at times identical. The functionalities or features also remain largely unchanged. It has chamber for water, a tip, a straw or pipe like mouthpiece for users to draw vapor. Most aLeaf Purifiers would easily fit into a purse, or backpack. You will need a separate serving dish for the concentrate.
Most aLeaf Purifiers have an assembly setup. You would need to put together the pieces to have the device ready to vaporize. You can conveniently disassemble the pieces, clean the integral parts, and store them for later use. The water chamber is usually spill proof. Entry level variants may not have an effective spill proof feature. Once disassembled, the parts are not difficult to clean.
How do an aLeaf Purifier® work
The aLeaf Purifiers is not heated in the same way as you would dab using a traditional rig. The nail or bowl is not heated. The tip in the aLeaf Purifier® is heated and it is then dipped into the concentrate on the serving dish.
Since the tip is heated and hence is directly responsible for producing the vapor, titanium is considered to be the most durable and quartz is deemed to be an ideal material for superior quality or flavor of the vapor. Very cheap and small nectar collector kits may contain some plastic parts. These are not amongst the best options available.
How to use aLeaf Purifier®
The specific method may vary depending on the model or type of aLeaf Purifier® you have. The general practice is to prep the concentrate on a dish. This is similar to how a traditional dab rig is used. Get a lighter or torch, heat the tip of the nectar collector, and dip it into the concentrate. Don’t overheat the tip. Tap or dab a sufficiently hot tip into the concentrate and it would produce vapor. The vapor would travel from the tip through the water chamber to the mouthpiece.
How to Clean a aLeaf Purifier®
Drain the water completely from the chamber. Rinse the outside and inside using warm water. You may submerge the parts into hot water for a more thorough cleaning. Do not avoid rinsing though.
You may also use a solution of salt and alcohol. You can get a sealable bag, pour some salt and alcohol solution, place the aLeaf Purifier® inside and shake it thoroughly for an effective rinse. You should then rinse with normal water, and then air dry.

Smoking pipes have been around for four thousand years. According to available archeological evidence, the earliest smoking pipes in Egypt were made of copper, albeit it is not certain whether these were used in rituals or for recreational purposes.

Several essential tools and accessories have been introduced to the world of dabbing in recent years. Bangers are certainly among the finest dabbing components you can have in your collection.
